6 Must-Try Local Plant Stores Around Toronto and the GTA

Reading Time: 4 minutes

The deeper into winter we get, the less likely we will venture out of our home for a leisurely stroll. And with all the restrictions in place because of the pandemic, going outside isn’t as alluring as it normally is. But with so many of us working and exercising and teaching and doing everything else from home, we need something to break up our days. Something that gives us some of the energy we’re missing from actual human contact.

Maybe plants aren’t people, but they are alive. And no one’s going to judge you for filling your home with gorgeous greenery that brings feelings of joy every time you water them. Winters in Toronto are long and dark, and adding plants to your home to shine some light on your day isn’t such a bad idea.

When thinking about where to get these plants, the only way to go is local. Well, there are other ways, but we think local is the right choice and we hope you do, too. To make it a bit easier, we’ve listed six local plant shops in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) to help bring life into your home.
